From a small studio and a big idea to a community of musicians across Canada—discover the passion, discipline, and joy that drives our accordion education.
Founded in 2015, Squattest evolved from a simple goal: make high-quality accordion training clear, structured, and accessible—without losing the soul of the instrument.
We started in Toronto with a small group of instructors focused on fundamentals: bellows control, rhythm, reading, and musical phrasing—done the right way.
Workshops expanded into multiple cities, bringing ensemble sessions, accompaniment training, and performance coaching to more students.
We launched flexible programs combining in-person lessons with digital practice tools, guided assignments, and structured feedback.
Today, we help students build real repertoire, strong technique, and stage confidence— with a learning path that stays practical, musical, and motivating.
To make accordion education modern, structured, and inspiring—so every student can play with confidence, musicality, and a sound they’re proud of.
We believe the accordion is expressive, powerful, and versatile. Our job is to help you fall in love with the process—and the sound.
Clean technique and solid rhythm come first. We teach the details that turn “notes” into music: timing, tone, dynamics, articulation.
Learning is easier with support. We build a welcoming environment where students share progress, play together, and stay motivated.
No chaos, no guessing. Every level has a clear plan, measurable skills, and practical assignments to keep you moving forward.
Technique matters—but music matters more. We teach phrasing, balance, and style so your playing feels alive.
From folk and tango to pop and classical—explore different traditions and discover what you love to play.
Our instructors are professional accordionists and educators with years of experience in performance, accompaniment, and teaching students of all ages.
